Best way to protect lips from the sun to avoid cold sores?
Since UV is my trigger I want to protect my lips properly outdoors. Is a normal SPF lip balm enough, and how often should you reapply to actually prevent a sun triggered cold sore?

Thank you for sharing. For most people the biggest lever is daily sun protection on the lips, even on cloudy days.
I learned the hard way that shade and a hat only go so far, so now I keep an SPF lip balm in every jacket pocket and put more on about every hour when I'm out in the sun. Reapplying way more often than I thought necessary is honestly what finally made the difference for me.
Reapplying after eating is my weak spot, working on it.
