How to get rid of a cold sore fast?

When one does break through, what actually speeds up healing for you? I know prevention is the real answer, but once a cold sore is here I want it gone fast.

Great question, and you are not alone with this. Catching the trigger early is where most of the difference comes from.

Catching the tingle early is everything for me.

Sleep makes a huge difference for me, more than I expected.

Stress is my number one trigger too, nothing else comes close.

Congrats on the good run, that is a real achievement.

Honestly the thing that helped me most was catching it at the tingle stage and keeping my hands off it, every time I picked or poked it dragged on for another week. Be gentle with yourself, they always feel bigger to you than they look to anyone else.

Honestly the thing that helped me most was catching it the second I felt that tingle and being gentle with it instead of picking, the ones I left alone healed way faster than the ones I messed with.
