Does anyone else get one right after a bad cold or flu?
Every time I get properly sick, a few days after the fever breaks I feel that tingle and sure enough there it is. It almost feels like a cruel encore, like my body decides I have not suffered enough. Is this a common pattern for others, and does anyone do anything preventive the moment they feel a cold coming on?
Welcome. The two things worth knowing early: it is very common, and it is far more preventable than most people realise.
Every single time, honestly. I think my body just gets so run down fighting the bug that it can't keep everything else in check, so now I try to be extra gentle with myself and drink a ton of water the week after I get sick, and it seems to help a little.
Yes, every single time, like clockwork about four or five days after the fever breaks my lip starts tingling and I just sigh because I know what's coming. I've started treating the tail end of a cold as the warning sign now instead of waiting for the actual sore to show up.
Congrats on the good run, that is a real achievement.
