Does anyone else get one right after a bad cold or the flu clears up?

Every time I finally get over being sick, like clockwork a few days later I feel that tingle on my bottom lip. It is like my body fights off one thing and then just gives up on the other. I have started trying to sleep more and drink loads of water during the recovery week but I honestly do not know if it makes a difference. Curious whether this is a common pattern for others or just me being unlucky.

Yes, every single time. I used to think it was just bad luck but now I know to expect it and start babying my lips the second the sniffles show up, which helps a little.

Founder here. What worked for me was consistency over intensity: same simple protection every single morning, not only when the sun is out. Wind, cold, and short sleep stack up quietly, so getting ahead of them beats chasing an outbreak once it starts. Rooting for you.

Yes, every single time, it's like my body waits until the cold is gone and then hits me with one more thing. My doctor friend told me it's because your immune system is still worn down from fighting the virus, which at least made me feel less crazy about it.

Protecting my lips before skiing changed everything for me.

Yes, almost every time. My body seems to hold it together while I'm actually sick and then the second I start feeling better, there it is on my lip like a parting gift.

Yes, every single time. My body seems to think the second I stop sneezing is the perfect moment to hand me a cold sore as a parting gift, so now I just expect it and try to be gentle with myself that week.

Yes, every single time, it's like my body finally gets to relax and then bam, there's the tingle on my lip like some kind of consolation prize. I've started just keeping stuff on hand the week after I'm sick because I know it's coming.
