Anyone else feel the tingle and then talk yourself out of it for a whole day?

I swear every single time I get that little prickle on my lip I spend the first day convincing myself it is just chapped skin or a bit of dryness from the heater. Then by the next morning there is the bump and I am kicking myself for not doing anything sooner. Is this a normal thing or am I just in denial, and how do you actually tell the early tingle from regular dry lips?

Oh this is me every single time, I keep telling myself it's probably just chapped lips until I wake up the next morning and know exactly what I ignored. You'd think after all these years I'd trust the tingle by now.

Same here, mine follow the seasons almost exactly.

Oh man yes, I once spent an entire afternoon convincing myself it was just chapped lips from the wind, and by morning I knew exactly how wrong I was. Now I just treat every tingle like it's the real thing because the one time you ignore it is always the one time it counts.

Yes, every single time, I convince myself it's just chapped lips or I bit it in my sleep, and then two days later I'm mad at past me for not doing anything when I had the chance.

Thank you for sharing. For most people the biggest lever is daily sun protection on the lips, even on cloudy days.
