Does lysine help prevent cold sores?
Keep seeing lysine recommended for cold sores. The idea is lysine balances arginine which the virus uses. Has taking lysine actually reduced how often you get cold sores, or is it hype?

I focus on the triggers first, lysine is a maybe on top.
Lysine seemed to help me a bit but daily SPF helped far more.
Mixed results here, some months it seems to work, some not.
