Which lip balm helps chapped lips without triggering a cold sore?
I am on Accutane and my lips stay super dry and cracked, and I get nervous because chapped lips seem to invite a fever blister for me. I am trying to find a balm with spf that keeps my lips soft and calm as part of my daily prevention routine. What have you all found that feels gentle and does not seem to stress your lips into a flare?
I keep it simple with a plain fragrance free balm and reapply a lot, and I add an spf one before going outside since sun seems to be a trigger for me.
When my lips get that tight dry feeling I go extra gentle, avoid picking or peeling, and I keep up my daily lysine habit for general wellness, which helps me feel more settled.
I stick to one balm I trust and never share it or use the same tube during a flare, and I always dab with a clean finger to keep things clean.
