Anyone else feel the tingle and then spend the whole day convincing yourself it's nothing?

I got that little itch on my bottom lip this morning and now I can't stop checking it in every reflective surface I walk past. Half the time it turns out to be nothing, but the other half it's a full blown sore by the next day and I feel stupid for not acting sooner. Does anyone else get stuck in this loop, and how do you decide when to actually treat it versus wait and see?

Really glad you posted this. Prevention over treatment is the shift that helped me most, and it sounds like you are already there.

Yes, every single time, and the worst part is I know by now that the "it's probably just dry lips" talk never actually works, but I still do the whole routine anyway. You're not alone in that, it's exhausting.

Yes, every single time. I feel that little buzz on my lip and spend hours poking at it in the mirror, telling myself it's just dry skin, and then of course it isn't, so now I've learned to just act on the tingle and stop arguing with myself about it.

Yes, this is so real. I've literally sat at my desk pressing my lip every ten minutes like that's going to give me an answer, and half the time I can't even tell anymore if I'm feeling something or just imagining it because I'm poking at it so much.

Yes, every single time. I feel that little buzz and then I spend hours poking at my lip in the mirror telling myself it's probably just dry skin, like if I refuse to believe it hard enough it won't happen.
