Really glad you shared this. What has helped me most is treating it as a prevention question rather than a treatment one. Track your own triggers for a few weeks, get ahead of the risky days, and protect the lip barrier before the sun, wind, or a bad night of sleep can set things off.
Mine is the left corner every single time, apparently the virus just settles into one nerve branch and keeps using the same exit door. Weirdly comforting to know at least where to watch for the tingle, right?
Mine too, lower left lip for going on fifteen years now, and from what I understand the virus basically settles into the same nerve branch so it keeps using the same door every time. I almost find it comforting at this point because I know exactly where to watch for that first tingle.
Same here, mine has claimed the left corner of my lip for years and honestly I think the virus just settles into one nerve and keeps using that same road back out, so it's not you doing anything wrong.
Mine is the exact same, left corner for going on fifteen years now, and the way it was explained to me is the virus basically parks itself in one nerve pathway and just keeps taking the same exit ramp every time it wakes up. Weirdly it made me feel a little better knowing there's a reason and not just bad luck.
Mine is the left corner every single time, and my doctor once told me the virus basically sleeps in the same nerve branch so it tends to wake up on the same stretch of skin. Doesn't make it less annoying, but it did make me feel less like my lip was cursed.
Mine is the left corner every single time, and my doctor told me once that the virus basically sets up camp in one nerve branch so it keeps resurfacing along the same little path. Weirdly comforting to know it's not random, just annoyingly loyal to its spot.
