Yes, every single time, and I lean toward the no sleep because I get the same thing after a bad week even without flying. I now just plan on one showing up around day two and it stings a lot less when it feels expected instead of like a betrayal.
Yes, this happens to me almost every time I fly long haul, and honestly I think it's both plus the recycled cabin air drying my lips out for ten hours straight. What helped me a bit was keeping my lips covered the whole flight and actually trying to sleep instead of watching three movies, though I'm still not great at that second part.
