How to stop a cold sore before it starts

The question I get asked most. For me, stopping a cold sore before it starts comes down to blocking the trigger early: daily SPF lip balm against UV, protecting sleep, and acting in the tingle stage. What works for you to stop one before it shows?

Catching the tingle stage is the whole game for me, if I act early I can usually stop it.

Stress and sleep, when I protect those I get far fewer.
